Around the World in Eighty Days

Author:Lloyd Holliday
Genre:Travel
Released:1988
Review:

Repeat Phineas Fogg's famous voyage to win a bet. No detail, few objects, no real puzzles - just a global exercise in graph traversal, with some nodes leading to death. I suppose this belongs in the same category as The Asian Challenge, but it doesn't go into as much depth (which is a bit like saying "not quite as thirst-quenching as salt".) In addition, the "save game" feature seems not to work. The only reason this game avoids a one-star rating is that it asks so little of the player.

Rating: **
